Metroplis Magazine: Pioneering “New” Trends

| November 15th, 2011

Once again, Metropolis Magazine proves it is at the forefront of Technology by placing a QR code on the cover of its October issue. The magazine is VERY proud of this achievement, calling it a Quantum Leap for the publication industry. However, the QR code – which has been used for years by advertisers – leaves a lot to be desired. Upon scanning it, you are taken to a short 20 second video which “brings the cover to life.” We here at gray_matter(s) are not impressed, so we have decided to come up with a list of cover stories that will truly bring Metropolis Magazine to the forefront of design.

1> How to Make MicroStation Work 4 U!

2> Metropolis Magazine Joins MySpace, is Friends with Tom!

3> Green Design: Fad or Future?

4> Wrought Iron – The Sexiest Material Yet

5> 6 Up-and-Coming Designers to Watch Out For: Rem Koolhass , Peter Eisenman, Steve Jobs, Alexander McQueen, Frank Lloyd Wright, Zaha Hadid and Isaac Mizrahi.

6> The Future of Fireproofing: Asbestos!

7> Google +, Buzz and Wave: The Future is Here, and Why We’re On Board

8> Why Apple’s iPod is Doomed to Fail

9> Steve Jobs’ Bright Future

10> Print Magazine Publications – Still Relevant and Here To Stay

PS. This is what a real quantum leap looks like:
